About
ABOUT ME:
During my own personal search in seeking a therapist, I found it difficult to connect with a counselor in whom I felt safe to tell my most personal concerns. I was looking for someone that would truly understand me and support my goals. Finding the right help didn't come easy. So after 20 years in the medical profession, I answered a heart felt calling to provide the counseling I had long searched for. With my own unique journey with OCD and trauma, this experience helped me become a compassionate, non-judgmental therapist.
Even with all of the wonderful theories I learned and now practice, the most important element in counseling is the trust relationship between the therapist and the client. My goal is to make your therapeutic experience a meaningful connection with someone who truly cares.
I am a nurturing, empathetic and caring individual. In addition to counseling, my passions lie in my faith and family. Happily married, my husband and I share four children and seven grandchildren.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: I earned my Bachelor of Science degree graduating Summa Cum Laude in Psychology from Utah State University. My Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling is from the University of the Southwest. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
AREAS OF SPECIALTY: Marriage Therapy, Trauma, OCD and Addiction. I have specialty training in EMDR, Heart Centered Hypnotherapy and Neurofeedback.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I choose to base my practice on biblical principles recognizing that God is our healer. Through my own personal conversion and journey with Christ, I am convinced that nothing can separate us from His love. My prayer is that God will use me as an instrument of healing as the right people are brought into my path. My office, located in Ste #930 of the River Oaks Tower has been designed with your healing in mind. From the beautiful view of the city to the "colors of healing" throughout the office, my prayer is that you will find it to be a sanctuary of peace.
