About

Welcome!
Beginning therapy can be one of the most anxiety provoking experiences of your life. This is so unfortunate because a Christian practicing Marriage and Family Therapy can be one of the greatest facilitators for healing from the things that hurt you!

Whether you need help with relationship problems such as:
marital disillusionment, communication problems, conflict resolution skills, parenting kids, (especially teenagers!), launching young adults, or the blending of families in remarriages know that as Marriage and Family Therapists we are especially trained to help you in these areas. If you need help with personal issues such as:
depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grieving, post traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the victims of sexual abuse and incest know that we have successfully worked with many people in these areas.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

As owner of So Cal Christian Counseling I became a Christian Therapist because I personally know how painful it can be as a Christian to suffer from emotional pain and not be able to get the help you need. About twenty years ago I went through a very painful period of time feeling deeply depressed. It seemed that no matter what I did, I could not stop feeling so anxious and depressed. It was so bad that it essentially stopped my life. I cried out to God, sought out my Pastor, Christian friends and family and yet nothing helped. Finally, after about 8 months of pain I was listening to Christian radio and I heard a Christian Therapist explain that even God's people need help at times with their emotional wounds. And so, I began working with a Christian Therapist and was able to be restored to wholeness. Because of this experience, I went back to school to become a Christian Therapist- to help other Christians who are suffering. As time went on I realized I needed to open a practice to be able to help more hurting people and thus have created So Cal Christian Counseling to provide the therapists this broken world needs.

So Cal Christian Counseling's offices are in Cerritos, California. The offices are on Studebaker Road just north of the Los Cerritos Mall.

I am a wife, a mother, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, And a Christian in every area of life.

That being said, I understand that we live in a broken and hurting world. So… inevitably, we will each experience brokenness in our own way at some point in our lives. That old saying “Hurt people hurt people.” is a painful truth. But, the opposite is also true and oh so beautiful: “Healed people, heal people.”

Christian therapy is the process of bringing these broken parts of ourselves out into the Light in the presence of another Christian and asking for God's help in healing this brokenness. It is my hope that together we can heal the parts that have been broken and restore you to who God wants you to be.
