About

Restored Connections Family Therapy, APC was launched from a private practice in January 2019 as a new group practice with locations in Los Angeles and Orange Counties providing care to the whole family. Under the leadership of Dr. Toni Durnal Dunning, LMFT Restored Connections serves individuals of all ages, stages, and abilities; couples, and families. As a distinctly Christian organization, our therapists capably integrate Biblical truth and Christian spirituality when requested by our clients. We meet our clients in an atmosphere of respect and develop plans of care in collaboration with our clients.

We serve people who want to improve their relationships with God, others, and themselves and we provide support for recovery from abuse and trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression and for processing through grief and loss. We work with couples facing crisis and those who want to strengthen their connection with each other. We offer support for the unique needs of step and blended families, including support for coparenting. Our Orange County location is specifically equipped for therapeutic work with children of all ages and abilities and their families.

Dr. Toni Dunning's fee is $175 per clinical hour (45-50 minutes), Ms. Rebecca Rodriguez's fee is $160, and Ms. Kathleen Shanahan's fee is $130 per clinical hour (45-50 minutes). A sliding scale that is based on income may be offered on a limited basis.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

My name is Toni Dunning and I am a Christian therapist because I discovered God's love and grace as part of my own healing journey. I know what it feels like to see life from a depressive/anxious perspective and fear God--wondering if I could ever do anything to be worthy of Him. There is NOTHING. It all rests on His loving nature, His grace balanced with truth and His mercy balanced with His justice. I know what pain feels like. I know I needed people in my own journey who had gone ahead of me to give me hope. It is my desire to do the same for others in honor of Jesus who gave Himself that I could live with peace in a state of grace having been forgiven--not because I am worthy--but because HE is worthy.
