Why I Became a Christian Therapist

Having a relationship with Christ has been central to my life for as long as I remember. As a child I had the gift of faith and I believed without question. I have navigated my life with Christ at the center and so it was natural when my youngest child went to all-day school I would enter seminary and begin my training to become a Christian Therapist.
I was asked to become a pastor and Director of the Pastoral Care Department of a large church as I was finishing a Masters in Counseling. When my family moved to Louisville, Kentucky I finished a Masters of Divinity in Theology and then started a private practice here that was very congruent with my responsibilities of wife and mother. I have been greatly blessed with my practice. Two years ago a Psychiatrist who I had been referring my clients to asked me to join him and two others in his new office. I did and now we have 13 Christian mental health providers and 4 offices!
