About
At Lasting Affection Counseling Services, I offer a warm, compassionate space to heal, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been providing psychotherapy for over 28 years. After working in the nonprofit sector, I founded my private practice in 2005. I offer in-person therapy in Albany, California, and telehealth for clients located in California.
My Christian faith informs my commitment to caring for others with compassion and respect. For clients who wish to integrate their faith into therapy, I welcome conversations about how their beliefs can support healing, hope, and growth. I hold a master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Theology and Interpersonal Studies from William Jessup University, where I graduated summa cum laude.
I work with adults, adolescents ages 12 and older, couples, and families. My areas of focus include trauma and abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting, and relationship challenges. I also provide premarital counseling and help couples strengthen connection, navigate conflict, and rebuild trust.
Painful experiences can shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. Together, we explore patterns that may have helped you cope in the past but now interfere with the life and relationships you want. My goal is to help you develop healthier ways of relating, greater self-understanding, and relationships rooted in safety, trust, and lasting affection.
My training includes EMDR, the Flash Technique, Lifespan Integration, and Level II of the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT).
As a LENS Certified Provider, I also offer Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) services. I tailor my approach to your needs, comfort, and goals.
I provide therapy in English and Mien and offer workshops on marriage, communication, boundaries, parenting, and emotional well-being.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian therapist because my faith is central to who I am and inspires my desire to help others find healing, hope, and meaningful connection. This work allows me to bring together my professional training and my commitment to caring for people with compassion and respect.
For clients who wish to include their Christian faith in therapy, I am trained to integrate it thoughtfully into our work. I have witnessed how faith can be a source of comfort, strength, and renewed hope through painful experiences, and I find deep meaning in seeing God at work in people’s lives.
I also welcome clients of all faiths and those who do not hold religious beliefs. Whether or not you choose to include faith in therapy, I respect your choice. Your goals, values, and comfort guide our work together.
