I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My specialty is helping female survivors of trauma reverse the symptoms of rejection, guilt, and shame through talk therapy and healthy coping techniques.
I provide a holistic, integrative, collaborative approach to assist my clients with developing autonomy and power over their own decisions and life choices. My clients are encouraged to identify, process, and learn healthy changes to their patterns of thought, manage emotions, develop healthy self-awareness, self-value, self-acceptance, self-forgiveness, and self-love. Many times, people and traumatic situations define who we are.
As my client, you will be challenged to decide who you are and dispel the voices and opinions of others. My clients have the opportunity to learn and implement healthy coping strategies to help manage symptoms of mental, emotional, spiritual, verbal, physical, and sexual trauma. The most important facets of my experience as a counselor is having a good therapeutic relationship with my clients and the joy of witnessing their mental, spiritual, and emotional growth in their goals for treatment.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
I realized at an early age that I had compassion and empathy for hurting and sick people. While training in a hospital for a career in nursing, I saw that the patients needed someone to talk to and I could not deny them that attention. Shortly after, I became aware that I was called to a career in mental health counseling. I immediately enrolled part-time in a psychology degree at a local university. I completed my BA degree in Biblical Education and continued on to complete my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in my early adulthood. My goal is to help my female clients overcome the symptoms of trauma through my clinical skills, Biblical knowledge, and spiritual values. I give my clients the opportunity to integrate their Christian values with their therapy to help them with what they need on their journey to whole health healing.
