About

Marcia MacKillop is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She provides outpatient psychotherapy for people with ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, and family issues that stem from addiction and mental illness.
Marcia treats individuals of all ages, with a special focus on teens and young adults who are adjusting to life transitions and significant traumas affecting the family system. She has worked with teens and their families for over 30 years in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospital adolescent, dual diagnosis, acute psychiatric and involuntary units. This experience is foundational to her training and understanding of how to diagnose, treat and determine when psychopharmacological interventions are warranted. Marcia holds two master’s degrees, receiving her training at Rutgers School of Social Work, MSW and Princeton Theological Seminary, M.Div.

In Solidarity Counseling Practice provides a space for the intersection of spiritual and emotional needs. Marcia is not afraid to talk about the love of God and God’s presence amid life’s struggles, lending an important and often neglected perspective in mental health healing. Marcia’s counseling approach is supportive, as clients explore their needs without judgment or advice. “In Solidarity” implies being with clients during their time of need.
Virtual sessions are available. In-person sessions may be arranged.
