About

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist who finds great joy in assisting people during trying times back into a healthier and happier life. I have a warm and non-judgmental approach that provides an opportunity to address both short and long term goals, crisis situations, and long-term underlying issues. I help my clients explore their past and how it is showing up in their present.
Working with those struggling after trauma led me to become EMDR Trained (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and BSP Certified (Brainspotting).
My work focuses on major issues including couples and families in crisis, intimacy issues, anxiety and depression, premarital counseling and grief, just to name a few.
I have a passion for working with all ages, races, cultures and orientations. My goal is to help individuals, couples and families to feel better in the present.
Through either the releasing of traumas or changing dysfunctional patterns my hope is to help them find healthier ways of communicating and regain the ability to live with themselves as well as others.
“…be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” ~(NIV) 2 Chronicles 15:7

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

"I have seen first hand the miraculous recovery when a client joins therapy with their spirituality. It is a force to be reckoned with!"
Most clients arrive with some form of past trauma. This will play a big part in their therapeutic process. These clients have experienced what is known as "fight", "flight" or "fawn" syndrome. So, in their present, when situations get too uncomfortable or they are triggered, they either react, escape, freeze or do a combination. This brings up a feeling of being powerless and therefore they remain stuck and unable to change. This is frightening and can leave a person feeling hopeless. I believe these daily struggles can actually be blessings in disguise. They can be seen as opportunities to see the God-given strengths we have within us. They can become opportunities for emotional and spiritual growth and we can then change the way we deal with them.

"It gives me great joy helping my clients along in their very personal journey."
