Avery Hoppe
APCC
My name is Avery Hoppe and I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. While in college, I was a Division 1 athlete and experienced the stressors of this high pressure environment. While there, I found a passion about the connection between the mind and body for overall wellness. After years of neglecting my needs in the name of performance, I had an amazing support team help me to regain my sense of self. Now, I use this experience by helping others come out of the fog and see themselves for who they truly are.
I enjoy working with various populations including youth, young adults, and couples. I have found myself having a speciality of working with current or former athletes.
Your hard work matters, your rest is important, and you deserve to have an identity outside of your sport. My goal in this population is to partner with athlete’s to navigate issues like sport performance anxiety, difficult team dynamics, and to balance the many components in both sport and life.
Carisa Kelso
APCC
Hello! I am Carisa Kelso, a therapist in the San Clemente area that enjoys working with clients in person and through telehealth. I have always enjoyed supporting others, and through life experiences I found therapy to be helpful in overcoming my own anxiety symptoms and gaining insight and understanding of myself. This gave me the ability to move forward in life and pursue the life I truly desired, which created motivation in me to pursue becoming a therapist myself.
I specialize in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma utilizing EMDR, adjusting to new seasons of life, and mom’s embracing motherhood. I also specialize in working with couples preparing for marriage and adjusting to married life.
My goal for my clients is for them to gain insight into how their past experiences impacted them so they can better understand their current relationships, difficulties and thought patterns that hold them back.

Rose Walsh
AMFT
Hi, my name is Rose, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I approach therapy through an attachment theory perspective and am always reflecting on the unconscious influences from childhood that may be impacting our present experiences. I believe in approaching healing through a holistic perspective that considers care and attention to mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational parts of a person deserving equal care and healing.
I specialize in working with individuals in change-of-life phase transitions (typically teens and young adults). Childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem are some of my common focuses. I specialize in integrating art in therapy. I also have a personal relationship with Jesus and if clients choose, I am open to incorporating spirituality into therapy.
In therapy, we will dive deep into rejected and trapped emotions and wounds of the heart, process them, and surface with newfound freedom from burdens.
