I have an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy in California, Licensed since Dec. 2017 (AA and BA in Psychology, BIOLA University). I have provided Christian counseling and community mental health counseling for more than 30 years. I enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals to help them improve their relationships and quality of life. I often work with special needs children/adults and their families. I also have training and experience in Behavioral Therapy, which is very helpful for special needs, parenting in general, as well as individual life changes.
I work often with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, as well as addiction recovery, and families with codependent patterns that often arise out of living with an addict. I am a trained EMDR therapist, and Certified Addiction Counselor. I find that many issues have a basis in Anxiety, and I use various interventions, tailored to each individual client and family. I utilize CBT, DBT, EMDR, guided imagery, family systems, and other techniques to assist my clients. I offer Christian-based therapy upon request, including prayer and scripture if so desired.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I believe that non-faith based therapy is missing a vital component - the power of God for healing. I prefer to include the Christian faith in my therapy in order to provide the ultimate in healing possibilities. I also believe that a genuine faith in Christ, and participation in a healthy faith community, is the only way to have the best that life can offer. Even then, we are frail humans, life is difficult sometimes, and we need the support now and then from someone well-trained in the art and science of therapy.
