Lawrence is a retired military veteran and dedicated counselor who brings both professional expertise and personal experience to his work with individuals, couples, and families. Rooted in attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Lawrence has completed the EFT Externship and helps clients uncover the deeper emotions and patterns that shape their relationships. His work centers on creating safety, fostering connection, and guiding people from disconnection toward deeper understanding, healing, and closeness.
Lawrence’s approach is warm, grounded, and authentic. His years of military service instilled in him a respect for resilience, teamwork, and courage — qualities he now channels into his counseling practice. Having experienced the pain of divorce and the challenges of single parenting and building a blended family, Lawrence understands firsthand the courage it takes to heal, forgive, and grow.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

Timothy C. Evans received my Master of Divinity in 1983 from Oral Roberts University School of Theology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I completed postgraduate work at Texas Christian University Brite Divinity School in Ft. Worth, Texas as a part of finishing a year residency at the Baylor University Medical Center in Clinical Pastoral Education in Dallas, Texas. Furthermore, I was the past president of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter and State Board Member of the Christian Counselors of Texas.

Lawrence Fagen's Christian faith deeply informs his worldview and guides his belief that every person is created for meaningful connection, grace, and restoration. Outside the therapy room, Lawrence is a devoted husband, father, and proud CrossFitter. He also coaches CrossFit part-time, finding joy in helping others build both physical and emotional strength. Whether supporting clients, spending time with family, or pushing through a tough workout, Lawrence lives out his belief that growth happens through faith, community, and resilience.
