About

When you come into our Worship Center you can expect to see folks dressed in jeans and sneakers, a coat and tie, or shorts and flip flops. Come just as you are. You will hear music being sung from a hymnal with the organ as well as praise and worship with the band. Sometimes we use the organ with the band! We don’t believe in labeling ourselves within a particular style of worship.

Our focus in worship is directed to our Audience of One. Worship is for God alone. We strive each week to be extremely intentional in this endeavor. Additionally we have identified six more aspects of worship that we value greatly. They are:

Authenticity/Humility — worship is confession of sin and expressions of joys and sorrows, and acknowledging the gift of God’s mercy and grace.

Deep/Biblical — worship is faithful to the joyful, difficult, and complex revelations of God through scripture and the Holy Spirit. We observe seasons and holy days of the Christian calendar such as Advent, Lent and Pentecost.

Participatory — worship is a sacrificial personal offering by all believers to our expectant Father. We invite all believers in Jesus Christ to share in our Communion that we serve about once a month. It is served by intinction (dipping a piece of bread into a cup of juice) and through traditional elements of small wafers and individual cups of juice.

Still/Reflective — worship is a sacred time set apart to hear God’s voice. We sometimes observe moments of complete silence for reflection.

Transformational — worship leads us to honest self-reflection and God-inspired action.

Unity/Diversity — worship is a rich diversity of heartfelt responses that draw all believers to unity in Christ with the purpose of glorifying God. We are a multi-generational community of believers that value and respect all ages, races, and socio-economic statuses.
