I will take my client through lies they believe about themselves and replace it with the truth in how God sees them. I will help them discover the root from which their symptoms (i.e. anger, depression, anxiety, etc.) originate, and allow Jesus to speak His truth and healing into those areas.

I strive to meet every client where they're at socially and emotionally. I seek to create a safe, non-judgmental space for each client through careful listening and observation, and by forming an authentic, trusting, and compassionate relationship where understanding and healing can begin. In processing difficult experiences, thoughts, and behaviors I take a whole-brain, whole-body approach and customize a treatment plan for each client. We also build upon their strengths and unique gifts, and utilize play, art, nature, and book therapy, as well as YogaCalm and Collaborative Problem Solving.
Catalina Agnew
Graduate Level Intern
I am currently the Master's program at George Fox University for a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have completed various hours in counseling peers and completing coursework on various subjects. My counseling approach comes from Strength Based theory and integrating a biblical approach in the process. I believe that by addressing one's strengths and weaknesses this can lead to overcoming challenges, as well as looking through a framework that examines the effect of emotions on a person psychologically. Additionally, I incorporate biblical truths and the effects on one's well being. My goal is to collaborate with each client to meet their personal needs and to provide mental health and spiritual support for long lasting positive change.

I have a B.A. in Psychology through George Fox University and am currently seeking to obtain my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Furthermore, my experience as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) has provided me with greater respect and compassion for those who may be conflicted regarding their identity, purpose, and sense of belonging within two or more cultures. While healing and growth is certainly a lifelong process, I hope we can begin this journey step by step together.
I have a heart for working with individuals who are bearing the weight of loneliness, shame, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, feeling disconnected from others and lacking a sense of belonging. I want to offer a safe environment for my clients to process as they see fit, their experiences with religious and spiritual conflicts, identity issues stemming from their cultural backgrounds, broken or failing communication patterns, family and relationship conflicts, illness and end of life processes, and

Professionally, I’ve served as a Mental Health Specialist in a child and adolescent psychiatric unit, supporting youth in crisis through trauma-informed care and suicide prevention strategies. I also worked as a Therapeutic Educational Assistant at a therapeutic school, using collaborative problem solving to help students develop coping skills, improve communication, and build trust.
Beyond clinical work, I served as a Resource Coordinator at Love in the Name of Christ, supporting families through crisis with presence and practical care. I’ve also co-taught Circle of Security parenting classes, helping caregivers strengthen attachment and foster emotionally secure relationships.
Across every role, my focus has remained the same: showing up with empathy, building trust, and helping others find hope and healing.
