About
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University. I provide therapy for teens, adults, couples, and families throughout California through telehealth and in-person sessions in Santa Monica.
My approach is relational, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when people are truly seen, understood, and accepted. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the deeper roots of anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, anger, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.
As a Christian therapist, I believe every person is created in the image of God with inherent dignity, value, and the capacity for healing and growth. For clients who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate biblical principles, prayer, and faith into the counseling process while maintaining sound clinical practice. My goal is to help individuals experience greater freedom from the wounds of the past, healthier relationships, and a deeper connection with both God and the person He created them to be.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, family conflict, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to slow down, explore your story, and move toward lasting transformation with grace, hope, and practical tools for change.
My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
My Christian faith is the foundation of both my life and my work as a therapist. I believe that every person is created in the image of God with inherent dignity, goodness, and the capacity for healing and transformation. While our stories often include wounds, fear, shame, and protective patterns that can leave us feeling stuck, I believe those patterns developed for a reason and can be approached with curiosity and compassion rather than condemnation.
I do not see faith and psychology as competing explanations for human suffering, but as complementary gifts that, when integrated wisely, can foster deep and lasting healing. God created us as embodied, relational beings, and I believe He often works through both the power of His Spirit and the wisdom He has revealed through sound psychological science. Rather than separating spiritual formation from emotional health, I seek to help clients experience both together.
My approach is influenced by attachment theory and Internal Family Systems, as well as the Christian framework found in Boundaries for the Soul, which recognizes that many unhealthy patterns are protective responses to pain rather than evidence of personal failure. As these wounded places are met with compassion, truth, and God's presence, clients often discover greater freedom, healthier relationships, and a deeper connection with the person God created them to be.
When clients desire it, I integrate prayer, Scripture, and spiritual reflection into therapy while maintaining evidence-based clinical care. My hope is to provide a space where faith can be explored honestly, emotional wounds can be healed, and the grace of Christ can bring restoration to every part of a person's story.
