About
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck. They may find themselves caught in patterns of anxiety, self-criticism, relationship struggles, emotional overwhelm, or behaviors they know aren't serving them, yet they can't seem to break free. Others carry wounds from past experiences that continue to shape how they see themselves, relate to others, and navigate life today.
I believe meaningful change happens when we move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin to understand the deeper stories, emotions, and protective patterns that have developed over time. My goal is to help clients gain greater self-awareness, develop compassion for themselves, and experience lasting healing and growth.
My approach is relational, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based approaches, and trauma-informed care. Together, we'll work to understand not only what is happening in your life today, but also why these patterns developed and what may be needed to create meaningful change.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions of identity and purpose. I have a particular passion for helping individuals who struggle with perfectionism, shame, people-pleasing, emotional disconnection, and the lingering impact of difficult childhood experiences.
As a Christian therapist, I also offer faith integration for clients who desire it. I believe therapy and faith can work together in powerful ways, and I seek to create a space where clients can honestly explore both their emotional and spiritual lives. Whether faith is a central focus of our work or simply an important part of your story, I strive to honor your values while providing thoughtful, evidence-based care.
Seeking help takes courage, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, growth, and greater freedom.
My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
My Christian faith is the foundation of both my life and my work as a therapist. I believe every person is created in the image of God with inherent dignity, worth, and the capacity for healing and transformation. While our stories often include wounds, fear, shame, and protective patterns that leave us feeling stuck, I believe these struggles can be approached with curiosity, compassion, and truth rather than condemnation.
I do not see faith and psychology as competing explanations for human suffering, but as complementary gifts that can work together to foster deep and lasting healing. God created us as embodied and relational beings, and I believe He often works through both the power of His Spirit and the wisdom revealed through sound psychological care. Rather than separating spiritual formation from emotional health, I seek to help clients experience both together.
Many of the struggles people face today are not signs of weakness or personal failure, but understandable responses to painful experiences, broken relationships, and unmet needs. As these wounded places are met with compassion, truth, and God's presence, people often discover greater freedom, healthier relationships, and a deeper connection with the person God created them to be.
When clients desire it, I integrate prayer, Scripture, and spiritual reflection into therapy while maintaining evidence-based clinical care. My hope is to provide a space where faith can be explored honestly, emotional wounds can be brought into the light, and clients can experience both the grace of Christ and the healing that comes from being deeply known.
