About
Transitions can be scary and unknown. Perhaps it’s being on your own for the first time, being an empty-nester who’s struggling to find purpose, being retired and feeling a loss of identity or struggling with your spiritual journey. Often, feeling lost can lead to depression, anxiety, a sense of not belonging and even maladaptive behaviors such as substance abuse. I have experience working with individuals to tap into their inner strength, desires and potential while identifying and overcoming those barriers that arise. I offer counseling through a Christian lens in exploring and understanding how a more intimate relationship with God can provide healing.
I incorporate Brainspotting techniques along with other approaches such as mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skill-building to work through barriers that continue to keep you stuck. Through a person-centered approach, I seek to partner with you to identify your own inner strength! True healing comes from inside out.
My passion is to help you feel empowered to make lasting change. I offer a free phone consultation to find out more. I also offer in-home services. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of GA.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
As an individual who personally identifies as a Christian and one who is clinically trained to partner with my clients on their journey to healing, I feel the combination of the two to be seamless and needed. Over the years, I have prayed and sought God's guidance in how I can utilize both of these parts of who I am to ultimately assist others in feeling empowered to create change and strengthen their personal relationship with God. It is not my place to determine your next steps but my hope is that I can help you do that for yourself--whatever that may be!
