About

Do you struggle with overwhelming emotions? Maybe you are frozen by anxiety or overrun by worries you can't control. Or you feel so numb, empty and hopeless that you can't concentrate or work. These emotions cause you to snap at others or retreat so that your relationships are not what you want them to be. In our sessions, you will learn what keeps you stuck and identify new ways thinking and behaving so you can move forward. You will also learn what to do when you are feeling intense emotions and be able to stop avoiding life. I have helped teens, families, and adults work through depression, anxiety, PTSD, and cross-cultural issues.

If you're interested in scheduling a free 20-minute phone consultation, please email me at katina@bridgeschristiancounseling with a brief summary of the help you are looking for and the times you are available during the week for a phone call.

My main approaches are dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Restoration therapy. I strive to foster holistic healing through combining evidenced-based practices and spiritual healing through Christian contemplative practices, self-compassion, and research on mindfulness. I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification-certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist in Retired Status, Level II Restoration Therapist, and certified Prepare-Enrich couples facilitator. I was intensively trained in Prolonged Exposure to treat PTSD and other trauma symptoms. I received my M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

I look forward to getting to know you. Feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

God has given me so much, and I want to give back. This is my way of loving others as God loves me. He has given me gifts of compassion, encouragement, and a way of relating and understanding people. By God's grace, I hope to comfort others as He has comforted me.
