About

My heart is for people to experience healing and wellness. I provide an integration of Christian Faith Based Counseling for those interested. I have a passion to help those with spiritual challenges, especially in the context of OCD. I work with people struggling with Anxiety, Compulsive behaviors, Tic Disorders, and Phobias. I also work with individuals on habit development, grief and loss, managing stress, & adjusting to life changes. My approach is pressure free and compassionate. In therapy, we work to understand the issue you are dealing with and work together in finding positive ways to move forward.

Education and Experience:

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Minnesota and have been practicing for 9 years as a psychotherapist. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology Degree and Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

I have also received intensive trainings in the treatment of tic disorders, hair pulling and skin picking disorders, and OCD.

The theme of my life's calling has been working in mercy/compassion focused service, including mission work with refugees, volunteer work with vulnerable children, practicing as a nurse, and working with individuals with emotional or physical challenges.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

As a Christian, I love being able to provide spiritual care for those who want this included in their therapy.

For many, finding a Christian therapist who understands the importance of their faith and values is very important, in addition to providing a Christian perspective.

My desire for people seeking Christian counseling is to find a place where there is integration, where deep truths about God's word can be integrated into therapy and everyday life. Where we can explore concerns, God's truth, and find gratitude for all the ways He provides healing. I believe the "regular" parts of our life are also sacred. "For in him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28).
