Ph.D. in counselor education, earned at University of New Orleans;
Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Austin enjoys working with adult clients ages 20-105, focusing on anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship and family issues, ADHD, and parenting education. Dr. Austin is a member of the American Counseling Association, International Association of Marriage & Family Counselors, and Louisiana Counseling Association.

I assist adult individuals, couples, and families. My practice also includes grief counseling. As a former play therapist of 20+ years with a minor in Early Childhood, I am uniquely equipped to assist parents with acquiring helpful strategies, parenting skills and approaches.

As a Christian who provides faith-based counseling, I adhere to a positive, ethical, encouraging, and compassionate approach rooted in biblical principles to help clients heal from past hurts, gain new coping skills, navigate their journey following loss, and learn about healthy boundaries.
