My name ic Charles M. Rice. I was a school psychologist and Marriage, Family and Child Counselor before returning to Washington State University for a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. After a rotating internship at the University of Oregon Medical School and VA Hospital, I took a Post – Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School I returned to Boise, Idaho where I have served as a licensed psychologist for 30 years.

Living Hope Clinic was incorporated in 1993. We have grown to the point where we now have thee clinical psychologists and two counselors on staff. We treat all conditions that cause suffering. These include those who suffer from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, personality and other disorders.

We also do psychological testing and psychological evaluations.

As a member of the Christian Association of Psychological Studies the best from psychology and Christian ethics and principles are integrated.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

I became a Christian therapist after meeting a psychiatric nurse. I had a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. I met Dorothy there. She introduced me to a world that my science could not explain. We both read the Bible for ourselves. As the Bible reports, those with little faith need signs and miracles. Dorothy, (and the Holy Spirit), opened my mind and provided signs, miracles and other gifts of the Spirit.
Since then, I decided to change the name of our clinic to Living Hope Clinic with the mission of serving the body of Christ. We, of course, do not reject anyone seeking help and do not proselytize. On the other hand, we do not hide our light under a bushel either in hopes that some seeds may grow for non-believers.
