About
At Check Your Compass, we understand that when you're carrying grief, trauma, anxiety, or emotional pain, it can feel like you'll never be the same. That's why we provide Christ-centered counseling through licensed mental health clinicians using our distinct **Perfect Peace Framework**. Our founder holds a doctorate in Biblical Counseling and brings more than 30 years of pastoral ministry and over 20 years of licensed counseling experience.
Rather than simply helping you cope with symptoms, we integrate Christian soul care with neuroscience-backed therapeutic methods, including EMDR, to help uncover and heal the root causes of emotional distress. Whether you're struggling with loss, trauma, anxiety, or painful experiences from your past, our goal is to help you experience lasting emotional, relational, and spiritual transformation.
We believe healing is possible. In fact, one of our key outcome measures is that **95% of our clients report leaving their session experiencing God's perfect peace regarding the issue they came to address.** Our desire is not simply to help you feel better, but to help you experience the freedom, hope, and perfect peace that God desires for your life.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian counselor because I know what it feels like to need help. After experiencing trauma and grief as a child, I discovered firsthand how deeply painful experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, others, and even God. As I experienced God's healing in my own life, He gave me a passion to help others discover that the deepest wounds don't have to define their future.
That calling led me into more than 30 years of pastoral ministry and over 20 years as a licensed mental health counselor. Along the way, I developed the Perfect Peace Framework to bring together biblical truth, Christian soul care, and neuroscience-backed therapy. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing someone walk into my office feeling overwhelmed and leave with renewed hope, greater freedom, and the perfect peace of God.
