About

Perhaps you’re just feeling down or nervous – maybe you’re unsure about the future of a relationship, or have recently been diagnosed with a serious illness. Whatever your needs may be, we are here to offer support. In our therapy sessions we promote healing by maintaining a person-centered focus by encouraging a positive outlook, the adoption of new attitudes, and fostering hope and healing. We have the empathy, understanding, personal and professional experience to help you cope and move forward.

Shakira is the director and owner of the group practice and was originally licensed in New York State as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor/LMHC. All of the counselors working in the practice have several years of experience counseling various populations. Andrea and Malika are clinicians under my supervision. They are both passionate and person-centered clinicians. Malika works with adolescents and Andrea works with adults.

Your mental health and well-being is so important to us. We love helping people develop the tools they need to cope with all of life’s challenges. We would love to help you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
