About

I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in both Virginia and Florida. I have been practicing since 2001. In 2018, I opened my own video counseling practice so that my clients could receive professional support from the comfort of their own space. Not only is it convenient, but just as effective as in person counseling. It is just me in the practice, so you won't have to deal with a receptionist or billing department. I enjoy helping people with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties and spiritual trauma. I am a Christian and incorporate faith and spirituality into sessions.

My training includes Biblical Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, The Masterson Technique and communication skills. I find that when clients are reading, journaling and listening to mental health podcasts along with counseling, they reach their goals quickly. I will tailor counseling to meet your needs.

I accept many insurances as well as out of pocket paying clients. I offer a sliding scale.

Life is stressful and the journey is much easier with someone walking along side you. Don't wait to get help. Please contact me for a FREE phone consultation and we can find out if my services are a good fit for you.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

I grew up in the Christian church and thankfully have continued my walk with the Lord throughout my life. I have attended several different denominations in the Protestant faith, graduated from a Christian high school and also attended a non-denominational Christian college for my first two years of undergraduate studies in Psychology. I am active as a church member and participate in my church orchestra. The Christian life is one of ups and downs, hurt and healing. Our faith is our biggest strength and asset when it comes to our mental health and that is why I utilize this whenever possible in my counseling practice.
