About

Chrysalis Connections is a relationally focused counseling, coaching, and educational practice located in Plainfield, IN and online. As co-founder and clinical director, I provide individual, premarital, marriage, remarriage preparation, couple and family therapy, spiritual direction and Christian Counseling, as well as family-systems coaching and Christian leadership training and education. My mission is to help individuals, couples and families develop relational harmony with God, themselves and others in their homes, communities and the larger systems where they live, play, worship, and work. My goal is to help people live a relationally, emotionally, behaviorally and spiritually abundant life.

I received my undergraduate degree in addiction counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University, my master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Christian Theological Seminary and my doctoral degree in Christian education and leadership from the Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University.

I am licensed in the state of Indiana as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and addiction counselor (LAC). I am also a certified domestic mediator and parenting coordinator. My guiding therapeutic philosophy is Biblically-principled, Christ-centered and distinctly Christian and based in the belief that emotional and mental pain are not illnesses or disorders to be treated or from which to recover, but rather trauma responses to be validated, shared, and relationally healed in self, with others through Christ.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

As a Christian, I believe that God has a unique and wonderful plan for every person and that a part of that plan is a healthy and satisfying relationship with God, others and one’s Self. I also believe that marriage and family relationships are essential elements of life that often set the stage for the quality of all of our other relationships.

When family and marital relationships feel strained or conflicted, the impact can reverberate through all other aspects of our lives and produce feelings of disconnection, alienation, sadness, rejection and confusion. Helping individuals, couples and families find a place of reconciliation, resolution and restoration is the particular area of ministry, I believe, God has placed in my life.

Helping people discover relational, emotional, behavioral and spiritual health and wholeness is the great joy of my life and I count it a privilege to work with the individuals, couples and families that allow me to come alongside them in their times of difficulty. God does have a wonderful plan for your life and I would be honored to help you discover and live into His good plan for you.
