About

Christi Kersten is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years working in the social services and helping profession, and has been a privately-practicing counselor in Texas for the past 8 years. Ms. Kersten is a gifted therapist, whose aim is helping her clients discover the best about themselves, spurring them on to grow both emotionally and spiritually in spite of past mistakes or painful circumstances. She believes God’s people can find hope, peace and even joy in any circumstance, not because the circumstances already have those things, but because God’s work in our lives is always accompanied by them.

As an active-duty Navy Chaplain’s spouse and parent of two children on the autism spectrum, she also specializes in issues related to military family life and parenting children with special needs.

Both in-office and on-line/remote therapy using FaceTime, Zoom or phone are available.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

I truly believe God uses all things, good or bad, results of our own mistakes or someone else's, painful and challenging circumstances beyond our control, and suffering of all kinds to accomplish good things in our lives. He promises to walk with us, and though we may not see the dawn just yet, we can find meaning in even life's disappointments, pitfalls and losses. Our hope is in knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that dawn is on the horizon, and if we hold fast to Christ, we will surely see it!
