About
I am Dr. Chet Weld, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Arizona. I have over forty years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups in a variety of counseling, mental health, and ministry settings.
My educational background includes studies at Ohio Wesleyan University, Union Theological Seminary, University of Arizona, Grace Bible College (in Tucson, Arizona), Ohio State University, Argosy University, and other schools. I have completed continuing education in counseling, psychology, marriage and family relationships, trauma, and related areas of personal growth and emotional well-being. My doctorate is in Counseling Psychology.
Counseling services are tailored to the unique needs, strengths, goals, and circumstances of each client and may incorporate a variety of evidence-based approaches. Upon request, counseling may also include discussion of spiritual issues and the use of prayer and scripture as appropriately related to a client's goals, values, and beliefs.
My goal is to provide a professional, respectful, and collaborative counseling environment in which clients can explore concerns, develop new skills, strengthen relationships, and work toward meaningful change. I am not presently under direct supervision, but I may consult with professional colleagues as needed.
