About
I have studied and worked in the field of psychology since 2008 and have practiced psychodynamic Christian therapy since earning my graduate degree in 2011. I come alongside individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, from everyday struggles to complex clinical disorders, helping them find healing and growth through faith and insight. My experience spans private practice, hospitals, counseling clinics, and residential treatment. I also taught graduate-level counseling for six years at Concordia University Irvine’s Townsend Institute. Licensed in IN, PA, NC, OH, KY, and MA.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian counselor because I believe deeply in the transformative power of healing relationships, what Dr. John Townsend calls “mismatching experiences”, that reshape how we see ourselves, others, and God. My journey into counseling grew from a conviction that our character, emotions, and thoughts are not fixed but formed and re-formed through connection and grace.
Relationally, I’ve been inspired by Dan Siegel’s research on neuroplasticity, which shows that the brain’s structure can change through safe, attuned relationships. Spiritually, I see this as reflecting Jesus’ ministry, inviting people into new experiences of truth, love, and correction that bring lasting transformation. Cognitively, I help clients renew their minds by identifying and reshaping thought patterns that limit growth, aligning them with biblical truth and personal integrity.
Through this integration of relational, cognitive, and spiritual work, clients learn to develop deeper insight, stronger character, and greater freedom. My goal is to create a space where faith and psychology meet, helping people grow into wholeness, purpose, and maturity in Christ.
