About

¡Hola! I'm here to walk alongside you on your healing journey—both emotionally and spiritually.

I surrendered my life to Christ in my early twenties when I decided to trust the Lord completely. As a caring therapist who has battled anxiety since childhood and as a young mother, I understand very personally how believers can quietly struggle with mental health. Being a therapist isn't just my profession—it's my calling, and I am passionate about helping others find healing and hope.

With over a decade of experience working with women of different ages and cultural backgrounds, I founded Florecer Family Counseling in 2018 with a clear mission: to help women, couples, and families flourish in every area of their lives. I received my Master's in Professional Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy in 2014 and became licensed in 2018.

You Don't Have to Struggle in Silence
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, you deserve support that honors both your faith and your mental health needs. As believers, we sometimes feel we should be able to "pray it away" or handle everything on our own—but God designed us to heal in community.

I specialize in trauma-focused and faith-integrated therapy using proven approaches, including:

EMDR therapy for processing trauma and painful memories
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for comprehensive healing
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for emotional regulation skills
Seeking Safety for trauma and substance use recovery
Prepare-Enrich and SYMBIS for couples building Christ-centered relationships
Smart-Stepfamilies for blended family support and guidance
Interpersonal Psychotherapy for relationship and communication skills
MAP and other evidence-based treatments
Understanding Your Whole Story
As someone who deeply understands Latino culture and family dynamics, I know that cultural identity can be both a source of incredible strength and sometimes a source of tension. Whether you're navigating generational differences, balancing multiple cultural identities, or working through intercultural relationship challenges, I understand these complex dynamics firsthand.

My approach is holistic—I offer you the opportunity to fully integrate your faith and culture into your treatment. Your relationship with God, your cultural background, and your personal values aren't obstacles to overcome; they're powerful resources for your healing journey.

What We'll Do Together
You can expect to receive a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you feel truly understood. Together, we'll learn and practice positive skills to manage distress, process traumatic experiences, and strengthen your relationships—all while honoring your faith and values.

Healing isn't about "getting over" things—it's about learning to carry your experiences in a way that allows you to thrive as the person God created you to be.

Ready to Flourish in Faith and Life?
You've already shown incredible courage by considering therapy. Whether you're seeking faith-based healing, culturally responsive care, or trauma-focused support, I'm here to meet you exactly where you are in your journey.

God has beautiful plans for your life, and sometimes that includes getting the professional support you need to walk in freedom and wholeness.

Proudly serving families throughout Woodland Hills and the San Fernando Valley, with online therapy available for those with busy schedules, clients in distant locations, or anyone who prefers the comfort and convenience their home or work.

¡Juntos floreceremos! (Together, we will flourish!)

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

As the founder of Florecer Family Counseling, my journey into counseling began with a clear calling from God. Through prayer, I realized my gifts for empathy and understanding were meant to help others heal while staying true to their faith.

I became a therapist because I believe effective mental health care should address both emotional and spiritual well-being. By combining evidence-based therapy techniques with the opportunity to integrate faith as a strength, I help clients:

- Experience healing through both clinical interventions and faith-based practices
- Develop healthy coping strategies rooted in professional counseling methods
- Use their relationship with God as a source of strength during difficult times
- Make decisions that honor their Christian values
- Build healthier relationships using proven therapeutic approaches
- Navigate challenges with both spiritual guidance and professional support

My journey in this field has shown me the profound impact of empathetic, professional care in helping people navigate their personal struggles while honoring their faith and values.

My approach is rooted in the belief that therapy should not only alleviate symptoms but also help clients reconnect with their true selves and their relationship with God. As a believer, I work diligently to create a safe, nurturing environment where individuals and couples can explore their experiences, process trauma, and break free from feelings of being stuck—all while drawing strength from their faith.
