Francisco is a licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors. He is also a National Board Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. He has 29 years of counseling experience and graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a Masters degree in Education.
Francisco's counseling experience includes helping men with anger management, substance abuse, sexual addictions, grief/loss, forgiveness and relational issues. He has extensive experience helping families address issues related to the criminal justice system (for themselves or family members). Francisco especially desires to help individuals find repentance (1 John 1:8) and be restored to the Great Shepherd who seeks out His lost sheep (Psalm 23). Francisco's counseling orientation is rooted in 2 Timothy 2: 24-26, which calls the Lord's servants to instruct others with patience, kindness and compassion, in the hope that God will grant repentance leading to knowledge of the truth, a return to senses and an escape from the enemy.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
2 Samuel 12, tells the story of how the prophet Nathan confronted King David after his grievous sins. David responds with repentance and later authors Psalm 51, the great psalm of repentance. If King David, a man after God’s own heart can fall into such a state, so can we. In the same way, God has led me thru the continual path of repentance restoring me to Himself. It is my sincerest desire to show others how the Great Shepard will not abandon his elect and will prevail in completing His work in us. The Lord has put this desire in my heart for all I meet.
