About
Dan Feldman, LPC, NCC, CCMHC
Christian Counselor & Licensed Professional Counselor
As both a Christian Counselor and a fully licensed professional counselor, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families move beyond what holds them back so they can live with greater peace, purpose, and joy. My work is grounded in faith and clinical training, offering clients a space where they can feel truly seen, understood, supported, and encouraged.
I believe the heart of counseling begins and ends with the relationship between counselor and client. My goal is to create a consistently safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your heart and mind, process life’s challenges, and grow in the ways that matter most. With openness, authenticity, and deep empathy, I seek to meet every client with unconditional positive regard, trusting that healing and change emerge most powerfully within a relationship of care and trust.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches—including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Reality Therapy. Each approach is thoughtfully integrated from a Christian counseling perspective, ensuring that faith can be meaningfully woven into the process for those who desire it. Every treatment plan is tailored to the unique personality, needs, and goals of the client.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families on a wide range of concerns including:
Depression and anxiety
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Grief and loss
Anger management
Relationship difficulties and marital concerns
Divorce recovery and life transitions
Trauma recovery
Couples and family counseling are areas of special focus. Whether you are seeking to strengthen your connection, heal from conflict, or work through a crisis, I provide guidance and support to help you move toward deeper trust, commitment, and lasting growth.
In addition to my counseling practice, I serve as Educational Director for the Center for Navigating Family Change (CNFC.org), where I lead seminars for divorcing parents as required by the courts. Through this role, I also provide co-parent counseling and coordination services, supporting children, parents, and families navigating the challenges of divorce. I am deeply committed to helping families in transition find healing, forgiveness, and hope.
My professional credentials include recognition by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I am also a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS-III). To remain current and effective, I regularly attend trainings and conferences to sharpen my skills and expand my expertise.
If you are seeking a counselor who integrates Christian faith with professional excellence, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I offer a free telephone consultation to answer your questions and to see if we might be a good fit for your journey of healing and growth. Please call 770-609-9164 to schedule your consultation.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian therapist because my faith is at the very center of who I am and how I live. Long before I was licensed as a counselor, I felt a clear calling from God to walk alongside people in their struggles, offering hope, encouragement, and healing. Counseling is not just my profession for me. It is an extension of my faith and a way to live out Christ’s command to love others deeply and sacrificially.
My personal relationship with Christ permeates everything I do. It shapes the compassion I offer, the patience I extend, and the hope I hold for every client’s growth and restoration. Whether I am working with clients who share my Christian faith or with those who do not, I seek to embody Christ’s love and grace in a way that feels safe, respectful, and supportive.
I believe healing takes place on many levels, spiritual, emotional, and mental, and my calling is to help people move toward wholeness in each of these areas. For me, Christian counseling is about more than integrating faith into therapy sessions; it is about creating a space where people can encounter hope, truth, and renewal, and where God’s presence can be experienced in the midst of life’s challenges.
