My name is Shannon Miller. I am an LPCC-S in the state of Ohio, license # E.2203157-SUPV. I obtained my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio in 2019. I provide telehealth counseling services only through Hold Space Counseling, a private practice that is physically located in Columbus, Ohio. I specialize in children, adolescents, and college students struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, faith and spirituality concerns, and life transitions.
My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
My Christian faith informs all aspects of my counseling practice. It informs the lens that I view people through, my approach to building a therapeutic relationship, and I incorporate my faith into all of the interventions and modalities I use in treatment. My own personal relationship with God and the healing and restoration he has done in my life are what inspired me to leave my first career, go back to school, and pursue a career in counseling. My work is a ministry, not just a career.
