About

Counselors at Homestead Hope Counseling Services offer a variety of professional therapeutic services, to include faith-based counseling anchored firmly and unapologetically in the Christian world-view. We do so with a clear, unwavering theistic paradigm that acknowledges God’s sovereignty in all things, as He is intimately interested in, and responsive to, each person and all they experience. The help we provide today brings our clients hope for a hopeful tomorrow.

As therapists, each of us depend on the presence and divine intervention of God during each and every session. We believe that God can work through any and all counseling situations, particularly when all parties involved are committed to God and to the healing process. Therefore, unless otherwise directed by the client, our approach will inherently involve the use of biblical revelation and the principles found therein. We attempt to care for the inner person in a manner which reflects those principles.

Please note that none of us are simply Christians who happens to be a counselor, or a counselor who happens to be a Christian. All of us are born again believers who, from the very beginning of our professional counseling endeavors, have focused our training, experiences and expertise on the integration of valid psychology with Biblical principles and precepts - as all truth is God's truth no matter where we find it. The Christ centered world view is paramount to our approach to healing.

Having explained our theoretical approach please be aware that no counselor or staff member will impose their worldview or faith beliefs upon anyone. We work with and respect all persons regardless of their belief systems or worldview, and expect our clients to render us the same courtesy. With that in mind, we hold both secular and faith-based credentials.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

The reason each of us became professional counselors varies as does our personal stories and testimonies. Suffice to say however, we all strive to glorify God by serving others via the most effective way we know - through counseling. Our individual and collective goal is to provide help and hope to others in a way that affects lasting change in the lives of those we serve.
