About

TELEHEALTH - ONLINE/VIRTUAL COUNSELING - Serving Illinois and Missouri Residents.

Counseling those seeking services with a professional who recognizes God's role in healing and utilizes the tools He has provided through Scripture.

I want it to be obvious that we are Christians. Our goal is to help people discover the secrets of scripture written plainly for our instruction. When answers for our situations can be lifted off the pages of God's love letter, it is energizingly freeing! The Bible is enough.

Our counselors have been trained at a Master's Level from University programs and have come to see and know that the Bible is the ultimate source for counseling through the toughest of times. Instruction on how to positively restructure patterns of cognitive distortions and encourage behavior change will be explained so that our clients can experience peace of mind and joy.

“The Word of God is sufficiently useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” ~ 2 Tim. 3:16.

Our counselors specialize in working with clients who struggle with anxiety/fear, are coping with addictions/strongholds, are struggling with depression/sadness, desire to seek a new direction in their career, and are searching to find their specific purpose in life. If you choose to proceed in therapy with us, we vow not to misuse your time in reaching set goals.

We are solution-focused therapists focusing on a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that helps clients create answers rather than dwelling on the problems. Therapy with us will be more than talking things out. Our therapeutic relationship will examine the different avenues needed to explore or change to ease life's pain, fear, or indecision. You will play a big part in the healing process. It is not uncommon for clients to receive an assignment from their therapist to practice what is discussed during the sessions.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

As a Professionally Licensed Christian Counselor, this statement of faith is foundational to my treatment philosophy and ministry.

- I believe the Bible to be an inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

- I believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He has revealed Himself in creation, history, and Jesus Christ.

I believe in the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, true humanity, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father, and coming personal return in power and glory.

- I believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian can live a godly life and grow in the knowledge of God and Christian obedience.

- I believe in God's creation of the world and humankind and in humanity's rebellion and subsequent depravity.

- I believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of the lost, sinful man.

- I believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ as one's Savior.

- I believe in the sanctity of life and do not believe in abortion.

- I believe in the importance of marriage. Although the Bible states that divorce is permissible in two unusual circumstances (adultery as described in Matthew 5:31 and abandonment of a Christian by a non-Christian as described in I Corinthians 7:15), we will do all we can to preserve marriage.

-- All psychological principles should be thoroughly evaluated through the grid of Scripture, and Scripture always holds the final authority.

My Story:

I have always enjoyed being a teacher, yet as a young woman, I never saw myself as a school teacher. This led me to pursue a career in counseling as I thought this would be a great way to help teach adults. I majored in Rehabilitation Counseling and began my career working in the field of addictions. I have always considered myself a Christian - raised from a young child in the church. After I had given birth to my third child, I discovered I was one of many false converts who truly believed she was on the narrow path to heaven until God showed me that I was, in reality, on the broad road to destruction.

In God’s grace and mercy, He showed me that I didn’t fully understand what it meant to "believe” in Jesus Christ. I “believed” in Jesus no differently than in any other historical information — I now understand that “Believing” biblically is a verb, not a mental intellection. My life had been turned upside down for the better - and my walk with Christ became the dis
