Dr. Chiara Simeone-DiFrancesco, licensed psychologist and first author of: "Schema Therapy with Couples, A Practitioner's Guide to Healing Relationships". I am the director of Connect-Talk, LLC and the Jesus-Centered Schema Therapy Institute, a Marriage and Family Therapy Center, licensed in Wisconsin and Virginia (33 years in WI!). I hold Advanced and Trainer Certifications in Schema Therapy both in Individual and Couples. Additional trainings include: Level II, Gottman Training: Certification in Medical Hypnotherapy; EMDR trained; Mediation Certificates; and Externship trained in Emotion-Focused Therapy. I specialize in relationship and trauma treatment for Individuals, Couples/Marriages. I offer for those desiring it, an emphasis on a Christian integration for Christian clients, called Jesus-Centered Schema Therapy.

The comprehensive conceptualization that Schema Therapy involves in its approach to marriage and personal issues is its keynote that directs the intervention by the therapist. This conceptualization is aimed at the precise unmet needs of the client or couple, and it certainly looks at how the trauma can dump a bucket of cold ice water on many of your interactions. I spend a good number of hours on your assessment paperwork, creating a treatment plan to guide you through it all, and then presenting it to you for our collaborative development.
As an internationally certified Schema Therapy Trainer and practitioner, I can offer a prayerful experience that invites Jesus into your sessions. I elucidate a set of Biblical principles of relating called "Connect-Talk®" and state: "Ultimately there is no Connect-Talk® without a connection with Jesus, the Ultimate Connector, the energy source behind every act of love! And without love, "I am simply a gong booming or a cymbal clashing". (1 Cor. 13:1) But what happens when people in the church have let you down, when your friends to whom you reach out, don't come through? I will help you bear this pain and get strong in your Healthy Adult self to rely on your priceless unchanging Friend, Jesus. Together we can bear the pain and disappointment.
My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
Jesus is the center of my life. In serving my clients, I serve Him. All good and all healing come from Him. I have seen clients who learn how to connect with Jesus in our sessions more profoundly find much consolation and strength. I have also witnessed marriages where spouses were able to align with each other connected to Jesus' perspective. This helped them overcome major obstacles and get on the same side together. Clients have stated they never thought such a miracle could happen. I see it frequently. I hope that I can help you overcome such "impossible" odds, and rebake a crumbling marriage or fractured self-acceptance. It's worth a try, and I am a specialist in relationship healing and in personal healing with long-term trauma and childhood origin issues. May Jesus lead and guide your psychotherapy pursuit!
