About

Keri Powell Therapy has been part of Central Illinois for over 17 years. We didn’t start as a large group practice. We grew into one because the need was real and God is good.

Many therapists within the practice of 40+ clinicians are eager to offer Christian Counseling. Our therapists are licensed, experienced, and carefully matched to the people they work with. We treat everything from everyday anxiety and relationship strain to trauma, grief, and substance use. And we do it without making you feel like a case number.

Whether you’re in one of our central IL cities, joining us from a small town nearby, or connecting from home via telehealth, there’s a place for you here.

LCPC
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), wife, mother, and Christian. I have the privilege of working with children, teens, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges and seek greater healing and emotional well-being.
I specialize in working with anxiety and am passionate about helping clients feel understood, safe, and supported. One of my strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with people quickly and build a trusting relationship where they feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I also work with depression, panic disorders, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, trauma, and other mental health and life challenges.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My hope is that every client leaves therapy with a healthier pe

I believe healing and growth begin when we feel truly seen, heard, and valued. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and relational, and I strive to create a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and be fully yourself. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, self-worth struggles, stress, and life transitions. I especially enjoy helping clients who feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next.

Together, we’ll explore the root of what you’re experiencing, develop practical tools, and build healthier patterns that support lasting change. I tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, helping clients increase self-awareness, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and hope.

My perspective is also informed by pastoral care, and faith can be integrated into our work when desired. My goal is to walk alongside you with genuine connection and compassion as yo
