"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
This is my life verse and has guided and directed me since I came to faith as a teenager. We are all a work in progress, encountering good times and difficulties that shape us into who we are becoming in Christ. God never wastes a hurt. Sometimes we need people to give us hope and to walk alongside through the challenges life has in store for us. I am here to do just that.

Hello!
"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the
Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
Thanks for checking out my profile here at Lakewood Family Therapy! I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, and I know what it is to abound in hope. My calling is to sit with those in pursuit of healing. It is a privilege to help others as they navigate through their one wild and precious life.

My own experience with counseling showed me how God brings healing, growth, and purpose through life’s most difficult seasons. I came to understand the courage it takes to self-reflect, ask hard questions, and commit to meaningful change. During that time, I felt the desire to support others as they, too, find the courage to pursue greater insight, hope, and purpose. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in Missouri. I am also a certified Clinical Telemental Health provider (CTMH).

I have a passion for helping individuals and families find healing through counseling. My own journey was difficult as a young man, and so I consider it an honor and a joy to help others recover from their painful pasts. God has blessed me tremendously through my own suffering and my faith is a key component of who I am as a counselor.

My hope for each person who walks through my door is that they experience a safe space in my presence. I have encountered this in my own personal counseling journey, and understand just how impactful a safe therapeutic relationship can be. I have also encountered this dynamic in my spiritual relationship with God, and whether or not you define yourself as spiritual/religious, I hope I can be a trusted teammate in your journey toward mental health. While I like to use a variety of therapeutic approaches, I primarily use experiential methods such as emotion focused therapy that centers around relationships, both past and present. I also enjoy Gottman couples therapy. I look forward to seeing if I am a good fit in your pursuit of wholeness and healing.
