My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
Grace is something we, as Christians, desperately need and frequently we cannot find in our faith communities because we do not allow ourselves to be fully known. The grace of Jesus is a foundational part of my work with clients. My work is to help clients differentiate between the grace filled whisper of God's love inviting us to make a change, and the loud condemning voice of the accuser bullying us to take immediate action without intention. Our internal voices too often mimic the voice of the criticizing accuser. When we are able to step back and observe we can find that we do have other choices. Freedom happens when we recognize the choices we have and are free to implement the changes we want and need.
