Life Encounter Counseling Services intends to foster a helpful and encouraging environment for personal growth through a measured and safe encounter with the realities of life. The intent is to provide connective psychological services to "normal" people who are struggling with a variety of issues. We provide psychological services to individuals and couples ranging in age from 10 years old to 70! We work from a clearly Christian Faith foundation in a respectful fashion toward all peoples. We would consider ourselves down to earth with a good sense of humor!
Why I Became a Christian Therapist
I have been a Christian since I was 4 years old. Jesus is very much the center of how I live my life. I choose to follow Him and be with Him with the folk that come to see me in the counseling process. I began the process by getting a Bachelors degree in Biblical Theology and Education from Multnomah University. I am also a licensed minister and was a college pastor for 5 years. I am a master's level clinician and work as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I also am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and a Clinical Hypnotherapist (CH.t). I have been practicing since 2003 and in private practice since 2004. I love integrating biblical theology with psychoneurobiology!
