About

I provide therapy services primarily for adults at this time for depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, and relationship challenges. I enjoy providing therapy for adults who have a Christian faith, and also enjoy working with adults who are struggling with knowing or understanding or accessing their faith. People commonly experience isolation during times of challenge, and lose a sense of genuine connection to belief, prayer, supportive relationships, and much more.

Therapy involves a relational experience, and may be a place where it is safe to express challenges in beliefs, spiritual perspectives, questions, and struggles. Therapy may also be a place that invites and supports deeper reflections on one's faith as a genuine and true resource for healing and hope.

I am a licensed psychologist, and therapy is a place where faith can be explored and experienced. The role of a psychologist is different than that of a pastor, or a spiritual director. However, therapy can often provide helpful reflections about all aspects of life experiences, including one's experience of their faith journey.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

Therapy provides a place to experience genuine relationship, "being known," and reflecting on one's life. Prior to ever having a sense of direction toward becoming a therapist, my own pain early in my adult life, led me to seek therapy services in order to find direction, and help with my emotional and relational life at that time. Through this journey, I discovered my own "calling" to be educated in "heart and mind" in order to learn to help others within their journey of life challenges. With 30 years of providing therapy to children, teens, and adults, I hope to support a life experience that offers a quiet space for people to listen to their life, to reflect on their experiences, and to experience a supportive and safe relationship. Deeper access to one's life story, personal connection to genuine faith, and stories of growth are often expressions of people who have invested in seeking therapy.
