Jamie Johnson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC (FL State License #MH20638), and a highly trained clinician with 8+ years of experience. She specializes in treating trauma, including single incident and complex trauma, childhood trauma, and PTSD. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Jamie helps clients process and heal from life-altering pain so they can experience freedom and get back to the life they deserve.
Jamie has personally faced difficult life circumstances that make it easy for her to relate to and understand the pain of her clients. Because she has experienced healing from her own traumatic past, she is able to offer hope and motivation, two things every individual needs in order to experience change. Her empathy and compassion are felt by each of her clients as they courageously share and heal.
Jamie understands that all her clients are unique and deserve tailored treatment to fit their needs. For this reason, she is trained in various evidence-based modalities, including: Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting (BSP), and Somatic Experiencing (SE), all of which accomplish rapid and lasting change.
Jamie also treats phobias, anxiety, depression, grief, self-harming, suicidal ideation, co-dependency, relational difficulties, eating disorders, anger, identity/self-image issues, parenting issues, marital issues, spiritual and Biblical guidance needs, career concerns, family conflict, and other related struggles. She also has extensive experience helping individuals who are dealing with spiritual warfare related issues in addition to their clinical difficulties, and integrates Biblical truth into therapy with clients who request to do so.
Jamie and her husband have been married for over 12 years, have three amazing children, and one highly-energetic dog. They love family travel, fitness, worshiping God and spending time outdoors enjoying His beautiful handiwork.
