About

There are times when we feel overwhelmed, trapped and life feels out of control. Are you feeling anxiety, loneliness, sadness or worry? Maybe you just feel invisible, not valued and you also feel the pressure of trying to please everyone at work and at home. So the guilt mounts at even the smallest thought to put yourself first or do things that you enjoy. But you want more. You may be going through a life transition such as a new job, new relationship, becoming a parent or maybe you are having difficulties in your current relationship. You miss who you used to be, excited about life and ready to take on the next adventure.

I am a therapist that is passionate in empowering individuals in reaching their full potential in life. I enjoy working with clients who want to uncover the root of their problems, so that we can dig deep, heal and make lifelong changes for a fulfilling and satisfying life.

Family of Origin Issues:
You are having a hard time manage expectations from your family while managing your education and your career. You may be from a cultural background that expects you to continue to be there for the family, even though you are an adult. Maybe your family of origin was unhealthy and you realize how much that past is affecting your present life. You struggle to set appropriate boundaries and then you feel trapped.

Self-Esteem/Self-Worth:
You just feel invisible, not valued and you also feel the pressure trying to please everyone at work, home and church (which feels like an impossible task). So the guilt mounts at even the smallest thought to put yourself first or do things that you enjoy. You are spread so thin. There is this constant negative self-thought that makes you feel worthless and unlovable, you end up feeling sad and hopeless. You think of giving up. You miss who you used to be, excited about life and ready to take on the next adventure.

Relationships:
You want help with managing all the toxic and unhealthy relationships in your life, your family, your career and in their most intimate relationships. You feel undeserving of love and care. You may be struggling with your significant other or spouse. You may be having problems in your relationship and you want to discover how you are contributing and what you can do differently.

Mothers:
You are a new mom and you are struggling with self-care. You are experiencing anxiety, depression, irritability and/or tearfulness. You feel you are out of control and need help, yet you feel others don't understand.

Through counseling, you will learn to listen to your body, increase your self-awareness of your feelings, shift negative self-messages to ones that honor your worth, discover the real you. We start from the belief that you are deserving of love and care AND you can have what you want.
