About

I am a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio with my Masters degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I enjoy working with individual adults with concerns related to stress & anxiety, depression, and complex or unresolved trauma. I am committed to a person-centered, strength-based approach, providing psychoeducation tailored to your individual needs. I have an eclectic style in which I utilize TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, and some ACT modalities to focus on self-esteem, boundaries, emotion regulation, and coping strategies. I am happy to incorporate a Christian-based perspective and dialogue tailored to your needs. Additionally, I can support individuals who speak Farsi.

If you're interested in working together, I will forward all inquiries to my office manager, who will coordinate scheduling and paperwork. I am available for virtual appointments Monday through Thursday, and in-person two days a week.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

Like most, if not all, believers, my life was completely transformed when I first felt the Holy Spirit and decided to give my life to the Lord. Once I came to know Him and have a relationship with Him, I knew I couldn't leave Him out of the therapeutic process if I had the opportunity to bring Him in (ethically and with consent, of course). I have always had a mix of believers and non-believers among my clients, but for those who are believers, I felt more empowered and equipped to ask them if they would like their faith to be incorporated into treatment, whether that was through bringing up God and His Will, Scripture, prayer, and even the Rosary or confession for my Catholic clients. I do not overdo it with faith-speak in the therapeutic space, but I do try to demonstrate, in my best yet most human form, the hands and feet of Jesus to reflect Him accurately and appropriately.
