About
Hello, I’m Michelle Stern, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I specialize in working with adults with ADHD, including those who are newly diagnosed, questioning whether they have ADHD, or struggling with focus, organization, procrastination, emotional regulation, and follow-through.
My approach is practical, compassionate, and strengths-based. I help clients understand how ADHD affects their daily lives, replace self-blame with greater self-understanding, and build strategies that work with their brains rather than against them.
As a Christian counselor and trauma-informed therapist, I also support clients whose ADHD overlaps with anxiety, low self-worth, overwhelm, or unresolved trauma. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and executive functioning support. For clients who desire it, faith is thoughtfully incorporated into therapy to support emotional, practical, and spiritual growth.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a counselor because I felt God leading me to walk alongside people during difficult seasons, helping them find healing, understanding, and hope. Over time, that calling grew into a passion for helping adults with ADHD understand how their minds work, recognize their strengths, and build lives that align with both their needs and their faith.
