LPC
Kaylin earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma Certificate from Wheaton College. Kaylin has experience working in both the hospital settings and with the community. She enjoys working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. She is passionate about serving people, giving them a space to feel heard and valued, and providing outlets for healing. She has experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational problems, codependency, faith/spirituality concerns, low self-esteem, body image issues, and sexual abuse. Kaylin views counseling as an opportunity for clients to process, lament, and find hope. She aligns closely with a person-centered and existential counseling approach while pulling from cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed theories, but since clients have unique needs, Kaylin utilizes evidence-based approaches that best suit the client.
