About

Oklahoma’s Premier Christian Counseling Center for over 20 years!

We are a group of many therapists with offices in both Tulsa and McAlester.

All of our staff are Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, or Licensed Professional Counselor Candidates.

We counsel adults and children to overcome life’s challenges with treatments that get results. We use a patient-centered approach that is About YOU, not just psychological theory. Real solutions for real people.

We have therapists who specialize in adults, teenagers, children, families, & couples, with extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, ptsd, trauma, parent-child relationships, marriage issues and so much more. These therapists are among the best you can find anywhere. Our compassionate, non-judgmental approach also can utilize Your faith as a powerful force for change.

We take all major insurance and SoonerCare, and have a very reasonable price structure.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

In January 2001, I opened a private practice where I provided confidential counseling, assessment, and referral services to adults and children. In 2013 we expanded to a Mental Health Clinic, adding therapists specializing in couples, family, and group counseling. We have since become Oklahoma’s most trusted Christian Counseling Center and have opened offices in Tulsa and McAlester, hiring only the best and most caring therapists.

Our office is private, quiet, handicap accessible, and provides a relaxed, comfortable environment. We strive daily to provide our patients with care, respect, honesty, integrity and empathy, helping them reach their goals, overcome life’s challenges, and live a happier, more fulfilled life.

Chandra Buss serves as a therapist at Oklahoma Christian Counseling and first developed an interest in holistic healing while serving in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse in emergency medicine for over 15 years. Experiences as a nurse prompted Chandra to transition from the medical field to mental health, with a passion for approaching therapy from a holistic perspective.

When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Chandra’s passion is helping clients, who include children, adults, and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole, and safe. Chandra understands no single approach is the right one for every individual. Life is tough and extremely complex. When it comes to seeking help, it can be hard to find someone that you can trust and be able to discuss the intense "stuff". Therapy is a way to gain tools that will help guide you through this life. People come in different shapes and sizes, with so many different experiences and trauma. There isn't a specific criteria that can define a person to one thing. Therefore, anyone is welcome. Come one, come all.
I have worked with adults, kids, families, and couples that have struggled with: coping skills, triggers, family/couple's complexities, trauma's/abuse, anxiety/depression, self care/love, ADHD/ ADD, communication issues, setting boundaries, sexual identity, sexual issues, health issues, self harm, suicidal thoughts, behavioral problems, and some addictions.
I love being able to sit down with my clients and help them gain the tools they need to have a more successful life. Anything in life can be a challenge, but having knowledge of healthy ways

I counsel from a non-judgmental perspective and utilize a client-centered approach. After all, therapy is about YOU! I strive to create an atmosphere of mutual respect, honesty, and trust with all my clients.

My focus is in Couples and Family counseling, using proven techniques to get relationships back on track. In addition, I work with families in crisis and help provide stabilization and restoration during these difficult times.
