About

Summer Fletcher is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP) who owns and leads Path of Life Counseling in Gilbert, Arizona. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling and serves as a clinical supervisor to a team of therapists at Path of Life Counseling.

Path of Life Counseling weaves together Christian faith, nervous system science, and relational and attachment theory as complementary, not competing, ways of understanding healing. Rooted in Psalm 16:11 and the conviction that God designed our bodies and nervous systems for connection, her work draws on attachment theory, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Kathy Kain's somatic touch work, EMDR, and cognitive and dialectical behavioral (CBT/DBT) skills. The clinical team uses their gifts and training to move fluidly between these approaches, meeting each client where they are—body, mind, and spirit.

Path of Life Counseling serves trauma clients, individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents, offering a warm, faith-integrated space for people to process pain, build secure connection, and grow toward wholeness.

I love to work with those who have been hurt or isolated. I appreciate being able to walk alongside someone who wants to face their trauma. I work with foster families or adopted children as well. I have had experience working with the Deaf community for over a decade and know American Sign Language and Mexican Sign Language.

I am knowledgeable in trauma-informed care, using modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SPI).

If you're feeling hurt or lost, if you are grieving, experiencing anxiety or depression, if your family dynamics have changed because of a child who is experiencing difficulty, if you were adopted or are an adoptive family, or if you are part of the Deaf community and want someone to support you, connect with me today.

Finding a safe space where you can fully express yourself and tell your story can be difficult. In our counseling sessions, I will provide you with that space—one characterized by acceptance, understanding, and empathy. My hope is that our time will allow you to show up just as you are, without shame or fear. Then, together, we can make sense of your story, understand the causes behind symptoms, clarify your needs, devise creative solutions, and witness your personal growth, healing, and transformation.

I have a background in trauma, loss, and grief, as well as foster care and adoption. I have walked alongside numerous families and individuals through such experiences, and I understand the confusion, shame, loneliness, and desperation that can arise. I have also seen the support gap that exists. This gap is what led me into the counseling field. My passion lies in tackling challenging issues with individuals, families, and adolescents, ensuring they don't have to face them alone.

My desire is to help people live to their fullest potential. To live an abundant life, both personally and relationally, one must be willing to face the hard and intimate things we often protect. I have learned firsthand that if things are not discussed openly, much damage can be done internally. I work to provide a safe, sacred space to explore and work through life’s sore spots and find ways to cultivate healing and transformation. I have a heart for healthy, authentic family communication, grief work, life transitions, sexuality, body image, sexual intimacy issues, and individuals in later adulthood.

I approach therapy with a family systems perspective. I incorporate Attachment Theory, trauma informed care, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy into sessions. I believe in the power of small steps in a consistent direction. I believe if people have the courage to face it and feel it, they can grow.
