My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
Here is a little bit about my faith and how I incorporate Christianity into my professional practice. I am member of the Roman Catholic Church, cantor/sing in choir, and further volunteer with youth ministry. I have a passion for helping others and have been in the psychology field for over 25 years. I have recently added Christian inner healing prayer as well as suggestions for Bible verses and other prayers to my counseling practice. I have found it immensely helpful for those clients willing to partake of this offering. Spiritual direction has been on my radar for further training to help clients experience the movement of God in their lives. Overall, I have an invitational approach and allow the client to decide if what is presented feels right to them for any modality utilized, but especially with the use of religion in a therapeutic setting.
