I am a Christian Counselor, serving mostly Christian Women via Telehealth. (I am willing to meet with a man who is looking for a Christian counselor if we are a good match.) I am Rachel Anauo, a LMHC in New York since 2006, although I now live in Florida. I provide services in New York and Florida remotely. For Florida, I can only see people on a self-pay basis. I am a widow, now over 50, and I offer a blend where the professional, clinical part of counseling, spiritual growth, and encouragement merge. I bring vast personal and professional experience to our work together. I draw upon Cognitive-Behavioral, and Mindfulness techniques for my counseling style. I meet people where they are in their Christian faith as a source of support to their counseling needs. I really enjoy using humor with those I work with when possible. I encourage all clients to utilize every resource available to them to get them where they want to be in life.You can have peace and I am devoted to help you in the process. I have interests helping people through grief and loss, substance use/addiction concerns, helping those in ministry, as well as adult mental health care, including depression and anxiety and narcissistic abuse dynamics. I am comfortable discussing sexual matters and I provide education about various things that people are struggling with. I will often suggest "homework" and I like to offer group counseling, as well. I have a Masters in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary, I am very active in ministry in my local church, as well.
