Michael Govan obtained his Bachelor of Theology Degree in 1983 from William Tyndale College and went on to receive his Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Oakland University in 1986. After working with a medium-sized Christian Counseling group for 7 years Michael went on to begin his private Practice: Reflections Counseling Center in Troy, Michigan opening in May of 1993. In 1999 Michael trained in EMDR Therapy and has focused his practice on Trauma and restoring marriages. Other therapists refer stuck clients to Michael who has a success rate in the high 90% range.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian Therapist to build up the Body of Christ in SouthEast Michigan. I really cannot see counseling from any other viewpoint, unless I am working with those who have not yet accepted Christ to be Lord of their life.
