About
Hi, my name is Renata Meredith, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern specializing in working with couples, families, and individual adults.
For Couples:
Are you and your partner feeling stuck in constant fights, trying to communicate your point of view but feeling unheard and unseen? Do you look at each other and feel disconnected, wondering: "Is there an end to these cycles?"
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in helping couples break free from these repetitive patterns. I understand how painful it can be to feel like you're not being heard, or to have conversations that spiral into blame, reactivity, or emotional shutdown. But there is a way forward.
With a deep passion for working with couples, I draw on the evidence-based framework of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide you and your partner toward healthier communication, deeper connection, and healing. EFT has been extensively researched and proven to be highly effective for couples struggling with issues like communication breakdowns, emotional distance, and unresolved conflict.
In our work together, I will help you and your partner feel seen, validated, and heard, while learning how to communicate your needs and desires in a way that fosters understanding and empathy. Through EFT, we will explore your emotional patterns, uncover the vulnerable feelings that drive those patterns, and transform them into a stronger, more secure bond.
Let me help you move beyond conflict by shifting how you relate to each other. Together, we can break the cycle and repair your relationship, building the connection you both long for.
For Individual Clients:
Are you seeking growth, trying to understand yourself better, or struggling with past trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, anger, or sadness?
Maybe you’ve been dealing with perfectionism, PTSD, or other challenges that affect your well-being and peace of mind.
If so, you’re not alone—and I’m here to help. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I also work with Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy, a powerful therapeutic approach based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us. These parts may include the anxious side of you, the one that tries to please others, or the part that gets angry when feeling hurt. These parts often carry the emotional burdens from past experiences and can impact how we feel, think, and relate to others.
In therapy, I work with you to get to know these parts with compassion and curiosity—free of judgment.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating relational issues, working on self-esteem, or processing trauma, I bring sensitivity and understanding to every session. Through IFS, I help you move from reactivity to calm, from disconnection to authenticity, and from inner conflict to emotional harmony.
“I believe healing begins when we learn to listen within.”
If you’re ready to heal past wounds, strengthen emotional intimacy, or explore personal growth, I offer a safe and supportive space for transformation. I am deeply committed to honoring your unique journey while guiding you toward clarity, connection, and emotional resilience.
I use EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) for couples. I am certified in Gottman Level I.
I am trained in CBT, EFT, IFS, Experiential, Narrative, Collaborative, Solution-Focused, Psychodynamic, DBT, Polyvagal, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Focused Therapy.
The clinic charges $125 per session.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I used to work for a large financial institution and I remember one day, sitting on my bedroom floor and praying, "Lord, if you give me another chance, I would love to be a therapist." And God moved in unexpected ways to make room for my calling. I attended seminary to obtain my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, which is my life calling. I am passionate about working with couples.
